Just because I know you are all incredibly interested in how many post I have made  I thought I better mark the occasion of my 500th. This is 10 per day and was accomplished in about 7 weeks.

With the risk of being flamed from all and sundry, what do you think of that :screwy:

MMmmm to few and we can see that as somewhat anti social too many and that can be seen as too chatty... a committee will convene to consider where your strike rate falls and if any action should be recocomended to the committee charged with considering action.
Congratulations on your input Ron I find your input constructive and your humour uplifting, keep posting keep interested keep going.

Well Ron I personally think we are witnessing something unique in Australian History. Mike is on his way to being famous but even he does not realise that yet and somehow we will all be able to feel that somehow we helped. As I said elsewhere we need decent heroes besides movie stars and sports stars so I am very hopeful this site will provide some inspiration for youngsteres in time, as I am sure it will. I cant imagine kids not wanting to follow in Mikes footsteps when presented with his achievemnets.. sortta like when surfing started ..it only took one man to get a following of thousands of kids to follow a healthy and worthwhile pursuit.. it will be similar here I know it. So everyone who can keep it going is important I feel... so pump out another 500 posts your action bring other action and so it will grow as it must..

That is very profound Alex, I'm not sure if you realised you have just encapsulated Newtons law but by golly, in the spirit of it, I'll do my best

simple, not clever. If I was clever I would have a house in the country, work the stock market to pay for the hobby I so love and have an observatory. Instead I sit here and reply to posts from the likes of you gentlefolk;)

Ah yes, that may be so, but at least you can grow a beard
P.S. Don't spend too much time looking for the cryptic message hidden within the previous sentence, there isn't one, it's just something I have wanted to say :screwy:

David some would say Wallsend is indeed the country, particularly if one comes from the Northern Hemisphere where country equates with "dark" and you dog you must have shares in everything given your investements in astronomy gear.. further I hear you have a garden shed and thats an observatgory in my book. Still it is very nice that a man of your resources takes the time to intereract with others like me who are simply starting in the hobby and need people to look up to with whom they can feel an afinity. I like being called gentle that is the image I work towards.
