Hi all again,
Had clear skies all night...:D first time for weeks..
Managed to image to 2am before I got too tired..
Heres a image from last night that I have just finished processing.
Of M104 and the details are: 8 x 5 min at iso 800, canon 300d and 6" f/5.6 newt. Df removed and processed in Photoshop..
Quiet happy in the detail considering my little scope..just need another 8 images or more to smooth it out a bit more..
I think I am on the edge of showing some finer details in and around the dust lane..This is when one wishes for a small pixel sized ccd like one of the SBIG or Starlightxpress cameras..oneday...;)
Cheers and Cs everyone.....

Thanks Guys, The seeing was not bad that night! and very clear.
Once I get this slight flexure fixed I can push the little scope to its limit, but for now I have to put up with some frames with oval stars..getting there!!
Cheers Gary

Hi Gaz,
that would be the "Sombrero" amigo :D
You did a great job on this. Colours are typical to the object, good saturation as reflected with the rich star colour and as you stated, you were beginning to pull out some detail to the dust lanes.
Not easy to do at this FOV...
Your little newt is not so little in comparison to other comercial newts of this aperture... imo!! Can't beat a high performance home made job!
Pretty darn smooth considering the amount of subs you used.;)
I was out last night after the same object but had sucker skies.... you know, setup, begin and you loose a guide star. Walk outside and there's nothing but cloud. Pack up go inside, walk outside and there's stars... setup, begin, go inside for a while, try and get focus to drop to at least below 2.0 FWHM with little luck from remote computer... walk outside to check collimation and the ol' clouds feed back in....
I gave up at 2am....
Soooo, this is a beaut any way.
VBG!!
Cheers
Rich
