and I had to try it a 2x barlow stuck on top of a 3x barlow .. not real sharp but pretty close up..alex

Wow, those are some neat pictures! I really like the 2nd last one. The moon looks spherical, almost like a marble. Good job! :D
I wanted to watch the eclipse, but I was at the cinema at 8 with some mates.

My batteries were flat I had no petrol for the genny and therefore no tv or radio so what else could I do?? thanks for the encouragement

I like them all...Is that prime focus, I forget how you take most of your pics..? (or afocal)... Nothing but clouds here.

They're great shots Alex, some of your best! The blue and yellow ones really show the shadow on the northern limb.

These were at prime throo de meade 150mm exposures were short even at low iso, I tried using the filters to reduce the light a little.. I am sorry not to be specific on settings I sortta rate all my stuff to date really as experiment results, my motives have been to learn thru playing around with different scopes that I have, various approaches etc to see what works... for the Moon the Green and the Blue filteres work well for me in a variety of applications to change what I notice... dont forget I really dont have much of an idea about how everything works yet...
and yes I have started doing some affocal stuff but has not been very good in the result dept.,
