Hi there
Just wondering if someone could recommend a good stable mount for my binoculars?

They are Celestron 25x70 and I have a Vanguard tripod. I found the mount that came with the binoculars is very flimsy and unstable.

Thank you:)

Bintel used to sell a parallelogram mount weighted at one end and altaz where you attach the binos, they hold 100mm Orion that I have.

You could look at this http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=43013&highlight=parallelogram+binocular+m ount

It may help

If you're after comfort, this CN (https://www.cloudynights.com/articles/cat/user-reviews/ez-gazer-binocular-chair-review-r2739) user creation may provide inspiration. If I was a mid sized bino user I'd defiantly build my own Couch Potato Telescope Mount.

I made a chair mount like that.every few seconds, depending on how fast my heart was beating, a heartbeat induced vibration would manifest itself. My favourite set up is to use fork mounts.there are some pics in the equipment section on cloudynights. I prefer fork mounts for astronomy as the binoculars can be mounted so as to find their best balance/equilibrium point.

Wow, I wouldn't have imagined a bino chair could be that bad! Thanks for sharing.
I've always thought the ultimate big bino mount would be a Meade goto fork, but I've never tried this.

Wondering if you (or anyone else!) found a solution? I have a telescope kit I am moving on, but I may look at retaining the eq5pro & tripod if i can rig up a mount for my binoculars!
