Thanks, that was nice and smooth. I like the way it just slowly moved. With my non tracking dob, it jumps around for a couple seconds when I push the record button. Then drifts across the screen in 5-10 seconds, and jumps around again when I push the button to stop recording. What scope and tracking system was that with?

That is quite a good video, looks like good focus and seeing conditions, the video is crying out for stacking and processing. Should result in a fine image once that is done. Impressed that it is from a non tracking dob mount, may have to give the method a try out myself.

Can't do that with a non tracking dob mount, looks like he had some sort of tracking?

My apologies to sn1987a Barry, getting myself confused about who the OP is. Would certainly be interested in the scope, mount, camera used to capture the video.

Hi chaps,

Been a long day only just now had a chance to sit down.

The camera was my iPhone 8 using Filmic Pro app and attached to a 4.7mm TV Ethos eyepiece on my 28" f4.2 Webster Dobsonian with ArgoNavis and ServoCat tracking. I expanded the ethos image on the iPhone to maximum which is about 5x I expect. Total magnification would be about (2966/4.7)x5 to give 3155 I guess.
It was early in the morning around 4am I left the scope in the backyard overnight Jupiter was directly overhead and Skippy Sky said the seeing was "Yeah baby Yeah!
The tracking was drifting a bit because I'm a lazy sod and close enough is good enough.:D

Thanks for the details, a 28" scope, wow, helps explain the resolution hinted at in the video and an iPhone for capture and Servocat.
