View Full Version here: : Second rate Full Moon photo
This is not the best photo of the full Moon but it was a beautiful sight from an equally beautiful place. Of course you have to share this Astronomy with your other love :) Full Moon rising over Horseshoe Bay, Bowen Queensland 27/11/04.

That is a very nice shot Mick.
Thanks again, Yes some of the best photos of this type I have seen, have terrestrial components in them. Maybe some of you saw a photo by David Finlay of the Venus transit with the Sydney harbour bridge in it.

Lovely Dave, the Moon and the Apollo missions were the reason for my interest in astronomy. I never get tired of seeing Moon images.

Nice one! It's not easy to get this sort of shot, I know because it took me over 250 shots (digital fortunately) to get this one (and I'm still not happy with it!).

whats not to be happy about with that shot ?
Looks cool to me, love the errie effect the moon has when siloeted behind clouds.

It doesn't show up as much in this reduced size shot but the focus is a bit soft.
I used a Fuji Finepix s602z, 6 sec, f5.60, ISO 400 (I think. I lost the exif data when I accidentally processed the original, but this is what I have for the previous shot on my HDD and it looks similar).
Thanks for the comments,
V.
