Great meteor just now from Canbera

6:32pm crossed pretty much directly at the SCP. Golden hue, huge tail... sensational!!

It was probably the Soyuz rocket re-entry you saw. Looked very spectacular.

People in Victoria reported a bright meteor/spacejunk object in today's ABC news. Experts say it was spacejunk because it was travelling a lot slower than a meteor would.

I saw it from central Victoria, brilliant show.

Was slow moving and broke up as it entered the atmosphere. I could clearly see two larger sections seperate with one falling behind the other and many smaller pieces between. Amazing show!
