IC4628 The Prawn Nebula, is an emission nebula 6000 light years from Earth.
Needs a lot more time but hey this is cloudy Mackay. Gotta work with what we have.
Skywatcher 120mm achromat refractor at F4, Svbony Ha and SII filters in HSS format, ZWO ASI 183mm Pro, 202 x 1 minute subs, HEQ5 Pro unguided.

Echoing Greg's comments - that's a truly original and very pleasing colour palette, well done!

Thanks Greg and Andy. I've found my RGB images of this nebula quite featureless, but NB, which I'm very new to, seems to really bring out the detail.

Love the colors Kevin but the details got nuked in the noise reduction I reckon. Evident in the high res.

Full marks for showing an object where Ha and SII are not co-located but are quite different.
Marc might be right about the noise reduction, but it is a great shot. Keep up the good work with NB, it's the only way to do nebulae :)
Best,

Makes me want to revisit my data on this one. I had a try at a HSS image but wasn't all that pleased with it so may go back and try again.
Nice

I'm not sure the fine detail was there to start with Marc. ;) It's pretty data starved for how much I stretched it. Needs more hours.
Thanks MnT. Narrow band seems to be where it's at for nebula. I only just got my filters the other day so will still be learning the ropes for a while yet.
Thanks Malcolm. It was purely by chance that I tried HSS. I'm still learning which combinations to use for which objects.

That is an interesting rendering Kevin. Lots that I really like for sure.

Thanks Paul. I must try out the neighbouring nebula in the milky way to see what NB surprises they have.

HSS is an interesting colour palette but it's come up quite nicely

The thumbnail keeps catching my eye.
That is a real "Take that, you rotters" image. One to print on A0 metal and put on the wall.
Best,
Mike

I'm likely to come up with more bizarre palettes before winter is out.
Haha, thanks Mike. My previous prawns were quite boring, being all red. It needed a change.

Fantastic colour pallet and image Kevin.

Thanks Rodney! The colour palette was not entirely by choice. The achro refractor has least CA with Ha and SII. OIII still has some bloat at 7nm.
Lovely image Kevin- Well done...
