Herewith Gabriela Mistral. The intention was a narrowband SHO image while the moon was bright but all I had was a bunch of Ha. I had about 60 min before the moon came up last night so thought I'd get some limited RGB (the last of the blue with the moon in the sky). Equipment was an f/5 254mm Sidereal Newtonian (love it) with an ASI1600mm camera. More to come soon... A bigger version and acquisition details are on Astrobin (https://www.astrobin.com/m0pwep/?nc=user).

Very nice image and plenty of depth
Well done !!
What’s your approx payload weight using the 10” carbon fibre newt and all AP gear ??
I use an 8” f5 Bintel GSO newt on my EQ6-R at a payload of around 14kg. The mount tracks and guides beautifully with 14kg on board , don’t know how it would perform up towards its rated load of 21 kg ??

Hi Martin,
Thanks for that. The Sidereal Newt with camera, filters, OAG etc comes to about 18kg. It all work well on the EQ6-R as long as there is no wind. I dream of a Paramount MyT though... and an observatory... ;)

A wonderfully vibrant image with those stars sparkling. A very appealing image.

I like this Kevin, it's often done with the traditional tri-narrowband emission line filters, so it's nice to see it in the more natural HaRGB palette

Thanks Greg
Thanks Mike. The intention was to do the usual SHO narrowband but I had about 45 minutes before the moon came up so thought I'd grab some quick RGB for the stars. I put it together as is and quite liked the result. What's interesting is there seems to be a reflection component to the nebula, especially around Gabriela's chin that's not apparent in the narrowband versions (unless that's just my crappy processing :P ).

That's very nice. Natural look and subtle processing. Love the colors and the stars.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Very nicely done Kevin! I get tired of seeing this in NB - it's refreshing to see a well executed RGB version.
