Got three clear nights in Sydney, Saturday, Sunday and Monday so made the most of it. I got close to 15h on the chook in Sii with the old Q and the QHY9. 88x600s.

I have an Ha channel I have to still dig out to do a bicolor but this is the Sii channel only. Seeing was alright last night. Previous nights not as good and a little windy on Sunday night. Nice clear nights and chilly, no need to cool down hard.

Wow Marc, the full res version exploded onto my 4K display and knocked me off my chair.:)

And then I still had to scroll some.:D

Gorgeous celestial scene from edge to edge.

Cheers

Thanks mate. I packed up yesterday arvo and when I went to put my IR filter back in its box it was already there. So I did three nights of Sii. Oh well, the hardest part is done I guess. Now to find that Ha and I'll just have to do some Oiii this week-end :)

Top stuff Marc. Is the small blue circle on the left a PN?

Thanks Peter. Yes I believe it is. It shows both in Ha and Sii.

Been late to reply because I've been wanting to use linear regression to see what the SII says independently of the Ha, but got tied up with our supernova, and still haven't done it.

Your heroic 15 hours confirms that there isn't a lot of really strong or really sharp edged stuff in SII, as might be the case if this area had experienced recent supernovas. It's all gentle and calm.

Top stuff, Marc, well done.

Best,
Mike

Thanks mate. 15h of Sii in the red channel means that I have no excuse if my final blend is green. ;) Dijon still passes.
