Observed comet C/ 2020 F8 SWAN.
81MM F 5.9 Vixon Binoscope 12mm and 25mm eyepieces magnification 39 and 19 respectively.
The 25mm wide field view was nice with the Comet and a fine whispish tail easily seen, whitish coma similar to a small globular cluster.
12m showed the comet in all it's glory.
The coma showed a very noticeable green tinge brightening toward the center.
The tail took up the whole diameter of the eyepiece 75' when putting the coma out of the FOV.
A split could be noticed, though faint.
I observed it for quite some time, but also took in a few of the sights,Veil Neb,glimpsed without filters 47 Tuc,similar to the Comet but larger and some resolution of stars.
The planets where all to high so didn't bother to try for them
Time 03:30-04 45 02/05/2020
Temperature 3.89C°,very cold, after getting out of a beautiful warm bed,.but the comet made it worth getting out of bed for.
Coldest night of the year so far.
I hope tonight is the same as I will do an all nighter and just maybe take a pic or two.;);)
Cheers:thumbsup:

Was clear but very cool and breezy up here and had a fine view of C/2020 F8 SWAN this morning at about 5:00am. Had , what I think was mag 5, 3 Ceti in the field of view of the 13 X 70 binos and the comet seemed a similar magnitude and had a definite 1 deg. tail visible.
Would like to get some images tomorrow morning if it clear and isn't windy .
