Back doing some galaxies again! Didn't realise how much I missed it. Scraped a few hours (just shy of 12) on this cute little group over the past week, mostly L with a 8x300 RGB. Lovely little group in Virgo that doesn't seem to get photographed too often.

Big one here (https://www.astrobin.com/full/kdxvpo/)

That is an awesome shot. Love how they are just all there together.

Really well done. Apart from the obvious big ones, there's a plethora of distant galaxies far, far away.

Thanks very much everyone, glad you like it :D

Yeah, I love imaging galaxies. Maybe if I were better at it I'd like shooting nebulae as much lol. Been doing a lot of nebulae lately but I've really enjoyed my last couple of galaxies.

That is a lovely shot of Markarian's chain. Galaxies are my favorite, because they make you realize just how big the Universe is.

Cheers
Peter

Thanks very much Peter, glad you like it :) This isn't Markarian's chain though, that's about 13 degrees further north and 1.5hrs off in RA.

Thanks Tim!

Wow, I now realise how much I have been missing astro. Really stunning image Lee. One day I will certainly move up to galaxy imaging. Narrowband nebulae will have to do for now.

lol. While my gear is doing unattended sequences of course :D

Thanks Suavi :-) You should have the skies for galaxies now so now you've got no excuse!

Galaxies are generally speaking pretty easy targets... you've always been exceptional with narrowband nebulae, something I find much more challenging.
