I have never seen this before in any bush setting

Hi Guys,
I don't know about you, but i have never seen this before in any bush setting.
We were just out exploring the 1000 acres we are currently on and came across this.
It looks like this has been growing for many years, and has happened a few times on the same log lying on the creek bed.

That's pretty cool. Is that another tree that grew around the trunk and absorbed it or is it the original tree trunk that rooted at the branch junction?

Hi Leon. Great shot. It reminds me of angophera growing over rocks around the waterways south of Sydney. And also the creek beds of central Australia and what happens if you sit down next to a similar tree for too long as this lady did.

Thanks guys, and for your question Marc, it seems that this has happened a couple of times on this fallen log, when one looks toward the end of that log and see two more trees that have actually died.

It appears that this particular tree started as a shoot off the fallen tree, the fallen tree provided nourishment until it established itself and then ended up a dried up log. :shrug:
