Hi everyone,
I have an Orion ED80T CF Triplet APO and am interested in purchasing an electric focuser, either the Skywatcher Electric Focus Motor ($99), or the Orion Accufocus Electronic Focuser ($159). From the adds I have viewed both units look identical aside from the difference in price and branding on one of the controllers. Would I miss out much by going with the cheaper option, or am I missing something not obvious in the advertising?
I would also like to use this focuser in conjunction with a FCUSB via a laptop.
Suggestions please.

Thanks to all in advance

Eris,
I have and use both....other than the marketing decals they look and perform the same.
To use them with the Shoestring FCUSB, you will have to make an adaptor which goes from the RJ12 (on the motor) to a 3mm?? (need to check size) stereo pin to suit the Shoestring box.
Other than that they work very well (I now run six (!!!) of them)
NB I use a geared belt drive onto the 10:1 knob for fine control.
EDIT: I see Bintel sell the necessary cable...
