Thanks everyone for your nice comments on my first Afocal picture of Saturn. All you Aussies are very nice and very helpful and I thankyou all for that:) I'am looking into buying a CCD Imager and have looked at so far the Orion ccd imager with the 1/2" Sony CMOS color chip, but it looks like it's for solar system imaging only. That is why I was considering the Meade DSI that claims to image for a hour on DSO...I know there is alot of high $ ccd imagers out there, but it seems there are only a handfull of cheaper ($100-$300) ones to choose from. The Celestron NexImage with a 1/4" chip ,the Meade DSI 1 with a 1/4" chip ,the ToUcam 2 with a 1/4" chip and the Orion StarShoot Solar System Color Imager 2 with a 1/2" chip but can't do DSO like the meade DSI claims it can do....Does anyone else reading this have any advise on these or any other models in this price range?

The ToUcam is the best way to get into CCD webcam imaging. For the price, it can't be beat.
Very nice Roger for your first go.
Well done.

Thankyou Iceman do you have any images taken with the toucam that you can post for me to see?
iceman has posted a stack of images taken with the toucam here. if you got o the home page he has a link to his astro images there too, so there might be some in there...
If kyou are looking at doing planets then teh toucam is the way to go but if you want to do DSOs like galaxies then you will need something else quite diffrent
