Hi All

Last night was able to image Carina Nebula ( before PHD2 played up! :( )
Equipment used:

WO132
AZ-EQ6
Optolong L-Enhance filter
ZWO1600MC

30x300sec lights
Darks & Bias to suit

Processed in APP
I have attached both Mono & Color images
I’m certain I could get more out of data but my processing skills are very limited

Any processing tips would be appreciated

well nothing like practice to keep on the toes, nice grab, keep reproing the image, there may be stuff you will learn on the way, you have a lot of info there

Looks pretty nice to me Ben, obviously have some time on your hands and some clear skies. You need to get back to work and slow down the output of images. I was also visiting that general region of the sky on Sat. night, lovely cool night for imaging.

Hi Ben,
A really good image you captured here with lots of fine details. The colour is a little off as Carina is quite reddy pink but again colour is subjective anyway.
I always have trouble getting colours right so normally I look at images that are on the net and try and match them. Not sure if this approach is right and sometimes I have to modify the the whole colour channels completely different from how I captured it.
Overall the luminosity is good so just a few tweaks to go.
Don't ask me which ones because I'm still learning the dark craft of processing myself.
Cheers

Hey Ben,

My pleasure and yes I do have a couple of images that I am still working through the processing with. Hopefully I end up with something worth putting up (fingers crossed!)

Cheers,
Cheryl.
