well it was a lot safer in the dome than out of it. howling gale force winds and the occasional cloud group dodging. seeing Marc try to guide in this weather was my inspiration;)
so captured 1000 full frames in ASICAP and processed in autostakkert3, registaxed that then tweaked in photoshop. seasoning and herbs and spices with a glass or two

Nice work Dave, #1 is pretty much as I saw it in the wee hours of this morning whilst tracking down the Apollo 11, Surveyor 5 and Ranger 8 Missions.

Don't know about you, but up here in SE Qld the seeing has been pretty ordinary and no friend of long focal length imaging of our Moon.:(
I was trying for the Apollo 11 landing site again lat night but gave up when I noticed that even the nearby largish crater Moltke (7 kms. dia.) was being obliterated and smeared by the effects of the jet stream.:sadeyes:
