I'm offering up what I believe to be the ultimate light weight binocular viewing platform.
I built and put together this rig some years ago to mount a pair of APM 100mm Bino's. First I built the fork mount, then the timber Parallelogram mount.This combination easily handled the giant binoculars.

4: Custom built recycled hardwood Parallelogram mount.
Using this mount, one can observe at zenith.
It takes 5.5kg in weight to counter balance the fork with the binoculars
Weight:5.6kg RRP: ? Metal ones start off at a few hundred dollars.
Sale does not include the counter weights. (dumbbell weights)
