Hi Everyone,

I've posted this before under a different thread, but here it is again - a self-portrait of me with my telescope, an Orion ED80 on a Vixen Sphinx mount.

While I was waiting for a passing cloud to clear, I took a photo using my modified Canon 30D. However, as I didn't want to ruin my night-vision, I didn't use a flash.

Well here it is for all to see!! As I am a tree surgeon this had a special interest for me. The Wade not standing is an old chain saw in New Zealand, with the shot taken 4/9/2005.

Here's my shot, taking time to point out where the observatory will go after the house is finished.

Yes it's true. I'm the guy you usually see leaving the courtroom running away from the camera crew on those current affair shows. My real name is "Supressed".

I suppose I could have used this image last month, but I thoiught Anne-Louise would use one of the other similar ones we took that night... I didn't want to steal her thunder.

Taken just after New Year, and playing with long exposure and... I'll let you guess how we did the "nebula":D

Following the fifth Craniotomy in 2006 (spent Chrissie in hospital) I no longer use that expression "I need that like a hole in the head" because I have one of my own :rofl:This was taken after the area around a titanium plate got infected and I told them I no longer wanted it put back.:eyepop:

Taken with a Canon A520 sitting on a tripod 10 seconds shutter delay Jan 2006.
Incidently under the dressing are 85 staples !

Ok this is a reflection of me.

I'd like to say I hate self portraits. It's why I'm behind the camera, so I'm not in them!

Interesting idea though... how we see ourselves.

Me standing on top of the highest shale cliff face in the world, after climbing
it in 1999. It is known as the Chef and is 531m striaght drop around the point
where I was standing. Located in Sqarmish, BC, Canada. Whistler is about
40kms behind me. Btw, we took the easy path  still it took about 3hours
