This is an image I took a while back, given the time of year it’s pretty obvious. A bit of a different view of this fairly dim galaxy, shot at 600mm with a full frame OSC so definitely not the best setup for the galaxy itself. Thankfully, for something different I have managed to capture several background galaxy clusters and dozens of island galaxies from the PGC catalog.

As shots NGC 300 go it’s not high detail or deep but the background galaxies give the image a bit more interest.
