Managed to catch this before the Pleiades and Venus headed for the horizon, just.;)

Had a few problems with the overall colour balance, as I am shooting into the light dome of Brisbane.

Canon 300mm F2.8L, 5D Mk IV, 4 secs x 10, ISO400, F4.

Thanks Dave, much like you, it has been a long time between drinks.:)

I just finished processing this one which was taken with the 300mm telephoto + x1.4 Extender, to give a focal length of 420mm. Nice working at these short focal lengths.:)

12 frames, 5 secs, ISO800 at F4.

Cheers

Nice catch Dennis. Good to see you out. I like the repro. I caught a bit of it last night but it was very bright out west.

Thank you Marc & Ron, I appreciate your comments.:)

@Ron - I guess its a bit like riding a bike, you never quite forget and getting back in the saddle once more, soon activates the muscle memory.;)

I only wish I had this ability when racing you to locate the comet many moons ago at Camp Duckadang - GoTo vs Star Hopping and you won.:P

Your memory is exquisite Dennis.;)
A most enjoyable time that was too.
All those electronic gizmos whirring away
And my Mark 1 eyeball scooped the pool,:rofl::rofl:
Cheers:thumbsup:

Nice pictures !

In the weekend it was at best, on Friday and Saturday night, Venus was closest to the Pleiades, I took pictures on both dates.
