2 Panel Mosaic featuring Gum 17
Reminds me of interstellar Fairy Floss on a Stick!

Taken from suburban Melbourne, Australia.

Probably a bit light on for data as we had a patch of cloudy and uneven nights with short clear breaks - but was keen to get what data I could prior to passing on my faithful QSI 683 wsg-8 to it's new owner.

This camera has served me very well for five years :)
...and I've now got the big QSI 6162 coupled with a Tak TOA 130 to play with - if the skies ever clear!

24 x 1200 Ha 3nm Astrodon
20 x 1200 O3 3nm Astrodon
54 x 120 RGB Astrodon

Looks good Andy and the blue vane through the image sets it off great shot.

An absolutely stunning image, Andy.:eyepop:

I am amazed at the accuracy of your guiding with so many 20-minute subs. As a newbie in astrophotography, I'm struggling to get 90-second subs of anything, even with excellent PA (using SharpCap Pro)....

A wonderful image of the Vela SNR; haven't seen it imaged so beautifully in years.Well done, maestro!

A wonderful contrast there Andy, between the big red cloud that will one day form stars, and the wreckage of a huge star that long ago formed in such a cloud. Almost poignant. Very well conceived, taken, and processed.
