Thread sizes on Orion Vixen Dovetail ?

Hi all,

I have my 6" SCT mounted with Rings and a Orion Vixen dovetail but now want to mount something else to the dovetail as well and I thought they would be 1/4" but appear not , any ideas so I can buy the correct bolts , metric ?

If they look like 1/4” try either 6mm metric, or they could be 1/4” UNC rather than Whitworth.

For what it is worth, my TS scope rings have tapped 1/4” UNC holes, I was expecting them to be 6mm metric.

I am using the 1/4' threads in my rings to mount the vixen bar , I think you are right that the others are 6mm . now off to buy some bolts.
