Congratulations to Rick Petrie, you are the winner of our March 2020 Photo Challenge, "Water".

All the photos were great I thought, thanks to everyone for entering, especially those entering for a first time.

Thank you Mr Photo Challenge Moderator. Big thanks to all for your votes. Much appreciated and to all the great entries this month. In keeping with the trends of drought, bush fires, flooding and now this pandemic keeping us all in mothballs I thought that the theme for this month should be
'ISOLATION'. Considering us being so housebound we might be able to come up with some interesting ideas. Cheers :)

Congratulations Rick, that was an amazing photo!
I burst out laughing at this month's title :lol:, before I read it I thought to myself now "isolation" would be a good one :lol:.
And yes, what an incredible run of themes we've had over the last months re what we've been going through. I'm now scared what next month will bring :eek::scared::prey:

I'm with you there Lee; it is a bit sad. Perhaps the comp needs its own
header, rather than being hidden away in Terrestrial Photography.

It's run in the Terrestrial Section of the Images Forum.
It's always a "Sticky Thread" for that month.
That's where it belongs and it's well known amongst our members.
Every time someone posts in it, it gets boosted back to the top of "today's posts".

It's not hidden away!
How can we possibly make it more obvious?
It's own header where?

Maybe if more people ventured out past "The General Chat" Forum they'd find that there's a lot more on offer here at IIS.

Unless the latest post in Terrestrial Photography concerns the challenge, as
in your latest post, nobody would know the challenge existed unless they went
into Terrestrial Photography.
I know very little about computers, so don't know what would be involved
in giving the challenge its own header directly below Terrestrial Photography.
If its not too difficult I would have thought it was worth a try. I'm sure most
of the longer standing members will be well aware of the challenge, but I
think its own header would make it much more obvious to newcomers.

I appreciate the fact that you may not be as knowledgeable with computers as others are raymo.
Unfortunately, forums are not set out the way you envisage and suggest.
Mike and mojo designed IIS because they are very knowledgeable in this field.

The forum is set out like a library or an encyclopaedia of sorts.
We can't have headers everywhere, outside their designated category.
It leads to a lot of clutter and breaks up the order of the forum.

That is why Mike and Terry have stipulated that there will not be an overabundance of subforums (headers) to cater to every possible sub-topic covered on IIS.

Instead, IIS is divided into these subforums (Headers) and each thread is allocated it's own space there.
The threads deamed more important or more relevant to members 'FYI' are made 'Stickies', and even these have a set limit by Mike.
