I’ve photographed this globular cluster a number of times with different setups and never been entirely happy with the result. Last week I did it again and finally got it! It has been done with my widefield setup but I’ve cropped it down a bit to isolate it from the vast background.
At some point this season I do hope to hit it with the Mewlon 250 but I’m happy with the resolution so far.

You've gone quite a bit deeper than our long-ago effort: many more background stars, and the galaxy towards one or two o'clock has come out very nicely.

Yes you did nail it. A very good Omega. It is a challenging object.

I still prefer the resolution of the GC in your image though
Granted, this was shot at 1.67”/pixel with a OSC so it certainly has resolution limitations there
Thanks John & Greg :)

It certainly looks the piece, and you've managed to retain that attractive glow in the middle without loss of resolution. Oh, and it's heaps better than anything I've ever done.

Thanks :)
I did do a HDR compression to show all the way down to the core but it makes this unattractive flat image.

Very nicely done Colin :) - the high res version shows several galaxies I havn't seen before, including a lovely face on spiral above the T in your signature.

That is nice Colin. Love the saturation and resolution.

Thanks Paul, the stars are showing some trefoil but I'm being a bit lazy with fixing that at the moment.

Reprocessed from scratch to help delve into the core and boosted the saturation (possibly too far) to help with all of the various stars throughout the field.
