Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, 17th March

Really nice conditions for the planets at dawn on Wednesday - given how far away and near the Sun they are, I'm very happy with all of these. Saturn has 3 moon's in attendance, Mars has a dust storm in Hellas, and Jupiter has Ganymede and Io for company.

Mercury is in a good position right now, I think I'll give it a try also when the clouds clear...

Is it me or is there minute detail on Io (I think)? :question:

No more than the albedo striping that sees the poles of Io darker than the equator (visible in transit). I've never resolved anything more on Io.

Yup - it is indeed! Just posted the results...
