Meade 14" LX200GPS UHT
Age and relocation means I have to sell my Observatory (see separate ad) and Telescope equipment.
Meade 14" LX200GPS Schmidt-Cassegrain (D = 356mm, F = 3556mm, f/10).
Optical Tube Assembly with MgF2 coatings on the correcting lens and UHTC on the primary and secondary mirrors.
Primary Mirror lock.
4-speed Zero Image-Shift Microfocuser.
Heavy-duty fork mount, with 4"-diameter polar ball bearing, dual-axis 5.75" worm gears, and 7-port multi-function control panel, including two RS-232 serial interface ports.
Manual and electric slow motion controls on both axes.
Setting circles in RA and Dec.
Autostar II control system with 3.5-Megabyte flash memory, digital readout display, permanently-programmable Smart Drive and 185-speed drive controls on both axes, High-Precision Pointing, and 145,000-object onboard celestial software library.
GPS alignment system with 16-channel GPS receiver, magnetic declination compensation, and true-level and North electronic sensors.
8 x 50mm viewfinder.
2" diagonal mirror with 1.25" adapter.
Set of Series 4000 Super Plössl eyepieces – 6.4,9.7,12.4,15,20,26,32,40mm, aluminium case.
Variable height giant field tripod.
Mount upgrades:
Super Wedge.
Meade original nylon gears on RA and Dec assemblies replaced with Peterson stainless steel.
DEC fitted with Peterson EZ clutch.
Heavy duty Regulated variable power supply.
Comes with Losmandy Rails (top and bottom) and adjustable counterweight.
Telescope has been well looked after and in very good condition.
Original packaging (box dimensions: width 79cm x height 56cm x length 130cm – 31”x22”x51”).
Due to the pending sale of the advertised Observatory I have now dismantled the telescope and boxed in original well padded packaging.
