In a March 1th 2020 article at IEEE Spectrum Magazine (https://spectrum.ieee.org/view-from-the-valley/artificial-intelligence/machine-learning/satellites-and-ai-monitor-chinese-economys-reaction-to-coronavirus), Tekla S. Perry
reports on how researchers at WeBank mine satellite, GPS, and social
media data to conclude that the Chinese economy is well on the way to
recovering from COVID-19.

The team used its neural network and deep-learning to analyze visible,
near-infrared, and short-wave infrared images from various satellites.

Hot spots from steel manufacturing plants had indicated production
dropped to 29% but is now back at 76%.

They counted cars in corporate parking lots.

Telsa's Shanghai car production had fully recovered but Shanghai
Disneyland was still closed.

I'd find it interesting if everyone was back to work soon. This would result in another outbreak for people who didn't catch it prior to the Chinese sequestering people.

Assume everyone has a link to the John Hopkins Live Data for COVID-19 ... if not,

The underlying data is avilable on GitHub.

that is an astonishingly quick turnaround and gives hope that this infection can be managed without allowing too many deaths or completely destroying economies. Thanks for finding something so positive on the topic Gary. Bit of a disturbing view of intel. capabilities though...
