Some image of the Carina Nebula in narrow band. Looking through my previous imaging attempts on this object; this image represents the sharpest attempt yet. That is quite pleasing. There is still some tweaks needed on the back focus distance of the corrector to sensor and more tilt needs to be removed.

This image is just 4 hours of integration in SII Ha OIII data.

So I appear to be progressing along and I thought a pleasing Hubble palette image might appeal among the many nice images here.

Nice shot. Did you use Ha stars only for the lum?

No I used all the star data from every NB channel. I did use a Ha Lum though but the star sizes did not change from previous.

Extraordinary detail Paul. One can spend a long time panning around the image.

No worries. I asked because I get a lot more tiny purple stars in Sii with the Baader 8nm.

I am using 3nm filters Marc. Not sure if that makes a difference but perhaps it does.

That would explain yeah.

Very nice Paul. Its quite a subtle colour scheme.

You handled the high dynamic range well. Lots of detail.

Greg.

Actually Greg you have just pointed out something I missed today. I posted the wrong image. The image was too bright and lacked punch. I have done a bit of curves work to give the colour a bit more vibrancy. Thanks.

Very nice Paul, the colour palette is both very soft but also punchy. I know they're contrasting terms but I cannot think of a better way of describing it, I like it though :)
