Hi all,
Selling as I no longer live in Aus and shipping overseas is not worth doing for something this weight.
This is sitting in Tassie, I'm not willing to ship so it'd have to be pick-up only.
Or I can deliver in the Hobart region in the next week (after that I'm out of the country and it'd be pickup only from where it lives).
It's in decent but well used nick, the electronics (focuser, collimation, motors, gps) all work fine except the level sensor which sometimes seems to work and sometimes doesn't. Doesn't affect the usability of the scope.
There's some dust on the corrector and some dew marks - see the pictures. Some of that could be cleaned but I haven't touched it as it doesn't affect the views.
Comes with an Astrophysics visual back, AP 0.75x reducer, a bintel 2" diagonal as well as the original diagonal, the field tripod, a homemade counterweight system, and a Starstuff top accessory plate (which is compatible with Losmandy accessories).
It's a pretty fine instrument for photography similar to the Meade LX200 ACF. Unfortunately the rcx has a reputation for having the electronics fail. This appears to be a good one and is still going strong, but read up on it and make your own decisions. If it doesn't sell I'll likely defork it as there's not much left to lose ;)
I'm not the best at astrophotography but I've attached a couple of pics taken with it (unguided newbie quality ;) ).
I'm looking for $3000 ONO, I paid $4500 used a few years ago. I'd rather someone used it than it sit in a box.
