The sky cleared for a few hours last night and I bagged a couple of new objects that I hadn't tried before. This is the Monkeyhead nebula at Dec +20 degrees in northern Orion.

Great work again Tony and it's the one celestial object that actually looks like what it's named after. Sorry but I couldn't resist.

Nicely done Tony, I can't recall seeing this imaged from down under. It's good to see something new. Cheers,
Tony

Thanks Tony. There's a lot of targets in the Orion/Monoceros region I'd like to try but they might be gone before the weather improves - hoping for a sunny Autumn.

Pretty cool target Tony.

I hadn’t heard of this one before.

Well done

With respect to Tony's great capture, yours is far superior in resolution. I can see the nose, lips and hair of the monkey quite clearly!
