Next Thursday my Australia trip starts and I am packing my luggage, and last year we took too much with us.
Now we have less than 20kg each checked and 7kg cabin baggage each and that includes my ED110 scope + Vixen SP mount + DIY aluminum tripod + 4 eyepieces, diagonal, filters, laptop, 16x56 binos, AP stuff, EOS 6 + 24-105L + Samyang 14 + 100-400L ii.

So this set of rather extensive astro equipment does not need to be that heavy ...

How do you travel by air to an (overseas) destination with astro stuff ?

Im astonished, but well done.....

im assuming your putting the optics in the carry on luggage, and your wife is carrying some of the gear as well.

I travel a lot and struggle with just the DSLR/Lenses, Batteries/Chargers, Laptop/ipad to get it under 7kg

Now I cut back to usually just Bins, DSLR, 24-70 2.8, 14 1.8, iPad and Batteries. and a few filters. That usually max's me out at 7KG, wife has all the kids stuff in her carry on.
