Hi All

A poorly stacked and processed shot of Neptune from last year.

Several 10sec shots with a modded 1100D, through an 8" LX90.Stacked in Sequator, fiddled with in GIMP.

One shot is a screen capture from Stellarium at the right date/time, then the output from Sequator, followed by GIMP.

That's really cool, the looks like you can just make out part of the rings.

Hi

Thanks for the comment. While Neptune does have rings, I think there is no way my setup can see them.

The little blip, just to the left of Neptune, should be Triton, or might be poor photography.

The stars are too blue, and I wasn't able to fix this.

Great effort on such a distant planet- colour and shape are definitively captured.
Well done Phil!

We don't see too many Neptunes in here so well done!

Hi

I had noticed a lack of visually small planets. For myself, I want a complete set, including Pluto, even if it is just a faint dot!

I haven't quite worked out how I will get a full Earth disk.

Good work with your Neptune! Good prod to get me back into imaging when the weather here finally allows.

I imaged as far Neptune with the little ETX-105 in 2018 but I never got to Pluto (or Ceres) and Earth defeated me. Perhaps you could catch Earth's shadow on the moon or spherize your local panorama.
