Hi everyone,
last night despite the heat got SII of the NGC3372 to try the HST palette with my previous bi-color image.
I used Ha as a Luminescence channel.... not sure if it 's beneficial.
Total 5h50m, ED80 with CCDT67 @ 0.75x 314L+ Ha and OIII @ min10C
SII is at min5C with the help of Jaycar's freezer spray. Was a warm night

Same subject different scope.
6"RC CCDT67 fl=1031mm @f6.8 SII:Ha:OIII ATIK 314L+ @ -10C
Q: 1) this is a better scale at 1.29"/px ... but not very sharp. Probably my processing and not precise focus(collimation?). Would it be improve to collect/add 'L' ?
2) if 'L' is used at full res (1.29") the narrow-band colors can be binned to shorten the exposure/improve s/n?
Tnx for suggestions :)
Kind Regards,
Mick

Both images show a blob effect in the dust which looks like excessive noise reduction. Because you've used two different scopes for the same result it has to be ion your processing flow somewhere. Other than that colours and stars look good so just due for a repro.
PS: both images are mirrored as well.

Thanks Marc  .... "blob effect" I like that description :D
I'll be more careful with noise reduction.... and mirroring .... oops
