PN through Skywatcher 150ED

I shot a range of objects last night to see how the 150ED would go, including these two PN.

ngc3132, Southern Ring, 17x 1 or 2 minutes
ngc3242, Ghost of Jupiter, 37x 10, 20, 40 seconds

It was very experimental and I didn't focus too much on any object as I hadn't much idea how they would turn out, but these seem not too bad.
These were taken at the native f/8, 1200mm of the scope.

Pretty good I would say..they handle a close up inspection well.

Seems you had a very busy night with the new scope. From the images you've posted it seems to perform very well on all manner of objects. Some very nice detail in M1 and all the others. Seems like a great buy, will be interested to see how it performs on lunar and planetary imaging too.
I almost feel like I want one now.

Thanks Alex and Jeff. It was a long night and I packed up at 3.30am as conditions deteriorated.
The scope has a little CA but it's quite good for the price. A bigger reflector would be better but refractors are easy and suit my generally unstable conditions.

Was that last night? I couldn't see a single thing in the sky when this happened. (I'm in the SE of Melbourne so the timing is pretty close).

I thought I kicked the mount, or maybe a possum ran across the yard and jumped on it..

Yes last night. It ended up cooling off a bit after midnight but it's looking too hot to bother going out tonight.

I noticed Astro Anarchy has the 150ED on sale for $2300 shipped or $3000 shipped for the version with the better focuser :)
