Well, i had the binos set up on a tripod, and ythen i just held the digital up to the lens and took the pic, i was pretty much playing around and was surprised how well it turned ot compared to the others - they were just white half circles :P

Any chance of getting hold (borrowing ) a second tripod to mount your camera on? Or a photographers monopod (single legged tripod, I know that doesn't make sense but you get the idea :D)Then use the countdown timer on the camera. That should help take care of the shakes.

That would then allow you to concentrate on focusing your camera. Though if your binocs are focus pretty well then the camera autofocus should take care of it. Try to get your camera as close as you can to the eyepiece, but zoom your lens out first if your going to use zoom. Its really important to try to get binoc lens and camera lens as straight to each other as possible. Vertically, horizontally and for want of a better work :P directionally, ie they are square to each other.

The best part of all this is you aren't using film. Believe me when I say you can go through dozens of rolls of film and only end up with a couple of decent shots
