I've been spending some time re-organising years of raw subs into one location. I have been storing data in a folder structure based on Date then Object. Putting it all in one place had me thinking what would it look like if I combined all the NGC253 data I'd acquired over the past four years. I was also needing to get back into PixInsight after a long break so here it is...15.5 hours integration of Lum subs and a half day of rusty PI processing later...
The big version is here...

Great idea Pete, so much fun doing stuff like this, top result
Hope you don't mind and maybe you already had a look but...If you stretch, invert and adjust curves, you can see you have captured the faint (Imperial Battle Cruiser shaped ) outer halo, niiiiiice ;)

Cheers Mike. I'm not sure which PI process was responsible for that. Here's me thinking it was the bl##dy neighbours flood lights :eyepop:

Nup, it's the halo alright ...you used to need to be David Malin on the UK Schmidt or AAT and then use his image amplification technique to capture it....pretty awesome :D

Looks great Pete, some nice detail there.
How did you combine the lights and flats from each year in Pixinsight?
Cheers Geoff

Hi Mark. This includes subs from the last four year and I think three Astrofests.
Geoff, I didn't try to match up flats with lights - just used one recent set of flats to deal with the vignetting as the camera angle was the same for most of the subs. A bit of a crop dealt with the rest.
