Hi all
Squeezed in 2 objects before the moon rose tonight
He2-15. 2x10 mins ISO 400. Its Mag 15.8 (H Beta) and is 24 arc secs in size
He2-11. 3x10 mins ISO400. Mag 15.3 and 65 arc secs in size so its spread out a bit more with a lower surface brightness.
Both taken with 10 inch F5.6 Newtonian, UHC-S filter and modded 350D. Off axis hand guided. Fighting some wind buffeting as I did so. In a few cases I gently nudged the tube to try and keep it still against some wind gusts.

Well done Scott.

I've certainly never seen those planetaries before. It became too cloudy here and I had to close up observatory before getting started - it was just the heavens teasing me. You must have been quick to get these images - good one.

Thanks Paul, yes I had the scope set up before sunset in the hope it would stay clear, it didnt at first, just on dark was so cloudy I could barely see enough stars to check drift alingment, then it just cleared fast. Just as Id finished these 2 objects some cloud returned, and the moon rose. Wind was a pain in the bum though.

Great work. I like it. Perhaps a little more focal length and longer exposure times would provide a nice challenge.
