I’ve pushed this one pretty hard but I’m hoping it hasn’t broken down. The trapezium!
137x60s
I am contemplating doing some 10s exposures at some point into the future to see whether I can get a better split of the F star. 60s was chosen as its as long as I could go without saturating the core but also allowed for the fainter nebulosity within the Orion complex to be captured in one exposure.
Nice colour. Nice to see it close up as well.

Thanks Bart, it has potentially been a bit over processed but there is a lot going on in there

Thanks Rob. Yeah, it's taken with an older Mewlon 250 :)
Aha. 6 vanes diffraction spikes and tight image.
Thought you might have pinched Dennis' Tak :)

Lovely. Moody and colourful. The traps are shown nicely.
Reminds me of the X files show where the aliens had a book called "To serve man" - its a menu!

Nice detail Colin, with lovely colour but maybe just a little too much saturation for me. The detail is cool though.

Thanks Greg, not a show I've ever really watched. Sacrilege I know.
I definitely pushed it pretty hard, no denying that

Very cool, lovely work Col...at this time of year, many have suspicious minds and can get caught in a trap :P

Intriguing Col, saturation a bit too high in my opinion but it is a very detailed image of M42 core!
Cheers

Amazing.
Would you consider doing a video, and using lucky imaging?
Best,
Mike
