Months of smoke haze and dust = no astronomy.
So I after belt modding my mount, I needed to do something about covers.
The original RA items just don’t fit by a tiny amount mostly because of my tensioner which I’m not going to move.
Since there was nothing ideal on thingiverse I decided to download freecad and set about trying to make my own.
Took me a while and I’ll spare the details of the various iterations and stuff ups but in the end I settled on a split case. I tried a one piece but it gets in the way of my altitude knobs.
This is the end result of overloading my head learning cad.
I’ve made one for the dec but I’ve modified it and will have to reprint.
I can of course supply .stl file for anyone interested.

Very good outcome! 3D priter is the cleverest gadget in the Universe...

I did something similar, covers for my belted LXD75 - will post details with photos later today after work.

Thank you sir. Look forward to seeing yours.
This is my dec cover in progress. Still need to finish the screw posts to attach it.

My Bresser EXOSS II (LXD75) after first mod (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showpost.php?p=1227000&postcount=6) (The next one will be OnStep with NEMA17 steppers), covers are designed to fit both original and new motors.

Yep, I made it myself... critical parts (heater, bed ) are off the shelf (ebay), frame is Qubelok (Aluminium Trade Centre), controller is Arduino MEGA running Repetier firmware.
