Hi everyone,

Clean sky finally to get this HaOO of the NGC2020
2h40Ha and 2h10m OIII with 80ED 314L+ with CCDT67 @0.75x

Not sure if SII would help bring out more details... what you think?
Hubble-palette instead of bi-colour?

Looking pretty good at the moment Mick

You could always try a sub of SII to see if there is much in the area but regions like this I personally prefer the bi-colour :)

Thanks Colin,
yes I think get more OIII to reduce noise is better 'time investment' :)

Cheers,

A lovely image and one of my favourite nebulas.

More exposure in Ha would be the go. There would be hardly any S11 here and not a lot of O111 (the teal area you already have it about the extent of it).

But the Ha areas are more extensive so there is a gain there to be had.

Love your colouring and the stars.

Greg.

Thanks Greg,
I'll try to get more Ha... I think clipped a bit to reduce noise, but more Ha will help with more aggressive stretch. Yet to master the processing properly

Nicely framed image with pleasing colours.:)

However it's very black clipped and you appear to have some channel registration (or tracking) issues with the stars.

More data will certainly help - when I did a version (https://www.astrobin.com/full/383248/0/) of this I found that here was a fair bit of S2 there but it requires a lot of integration time.

Keep going!

Yes Andy, I rushed the processing  .... wanted to see it, and broke the rules not to process till next day:screwy:. I did this 2am and spend only 15min.
I'll re-process once got more data. Had a look at yours, stunning resolution.
The scale on mine is only 3"/pcx. Thank you for the suggestions
