I've been working on a couple of targets recently, one of them being NGC 1313, aka the Topsy Turvy galaxy.

I've gathered 9hrs of L data, which seems sufficient to bring out the faint dust surrounding this unusual galaxy.

I've also gathered some colour data, but nowhere near enough, and of very poor quality due to smoke... that said, a brief attempt at making a colour image out of this one suggests it will be challenging. The L data was quite easy to work with.

Yep that's gunna be another cracker Lee, the Lum by itself already looks good, great detail and lots to pan around to look at, the cirrus dust/outer galaxy clouds are nicely visible too, excellent

Not much chance of anything from me at the moment, been outa town on holidays for 3 weeks and back home to Canberra just after New Moon aaaaand we are full of smoke, goes and comes with the change in wind directions, then add cloud and festivities plus a growing Moon = not a good imaging New Year ahead for moi I fear

So, armchair views of your work will keep me going, thanks, keep at it :)

Cheers Mike :-) Yeah, I noticed it's been pretty quiet on the forums, I assumed everyone was on holiday.

I dunno if this one'll be a cracker, I think it's gonna be hard to make a nice looking colour image of it to be honest.

I'm pretty happy with the luminance data, I learned a new processing trick to bring out the faint stuff without bringing out the noise so much which might make a big difference to my processing going forward. I've kinda stagnated a bit on my processing for a while so it's nice to learn something new!
