Cool video. Almost sounds like sci-fi. Hope it goes the full length.

If anyone's interested the Apollo 11 movie is available now at JB HI-FI on BluRay. Just watched it again this arvo with subtitles on.

The cost is going to be phenomenal, but well worth it I think. I wonder what frequency of launches they will be hoping for when it's all up and running?

The amount of $ 28 billion is needed to implement the Artemis program over four years. Hope they will make at least one flight per year.

Subtitles? OK. I’ll ask the dumb question. Why? Isn’t it in English? Or are you enjoying it in a different language?

English is not my native language. I have difficulties understanding individual conversations in crowds or overlapping sounds. Add different accents on top of it all and I might as well call it a day.

G’day Marc. I have the same problems and English is my native language. It’s an age thing I think.

Hmm! My wife has a hearing impairment and likes to watch movies with subtitle on (grrr!).
However, I must admit, it is amazing how much extra you pick up even if you have full hearing!

 Well there's probably a bit of that too. Songs lyrics are nearly impossible to understand for me. So are voices on a phone call. Which most of my mates take pleasure into making me guess who's calling. :)

On the other hand, it is somewhere between hilarious and amazing how wrong some subtitles can be. I suppose they are automated these days - some sort of voice to text system. But it does produce results that defy the imagination at times.

In my experience bluray are good, DVD so-so, kind of a "summary" at times. Automated news full of typos. Finally English subtitles for French movies are at times a riot. Really good for a laugh on SBS.
