Nicely done Greg. I so badly want to get one like this with my 'new' CentralDS 6D before Orion gets too high in the evening. Way too much cloud around though.

Thanks Kevin.
Yes this was about 8 weeks ago and I was surprised at how high Orion was getting early in the evening.

Hi Graham.
I used a digital inclinometer to set the angle of the guider and a digital compass to set the azimuth of the guider.
Takes about 2 minutes. It gives me a rough polar alignment which is good enough at 14mm but wouldn't be at 100mm.
I have a Polemaster setup for that and I am not really up to speed in using it yet. I have another tracker setup that uses a Vixen Polarie and that uses a Vixen Polar scope which I am used to using. It gives quite accurate polar alignment which takes me about 5 -15 minutes to do.

Real nice, liking the star color amplification, atmospheric vapor conditions I assume, grouse effect Greg.

Thanks Bob. Bushfire smoke was there in the air at the time. Not the bushfires at the peak but near the beginning of the recent bushfires.

Hi Greg,
I see the bush fire effects.....how's it going for you with the fires near your setup??

Hi Tim,
I was at risk at one point about a month ago but its passed now. A large downpour yesterday also is comforting.

Thanks Tim. I did take some equipment out of my observatory and only just now putting it back together. At my home it did get close.
