I think I'll be looking back at the imaging this year as a number of starts, but no satisfactory finishes - everything has been gathering some data but not enough for the results I would like.

And this M33 continues in that vein. :)

Two nights of data in October and I was not able to get anything else after that. Besides the weather, etc, it's not exactly an object that is easy to image from here, getting to an approx max of about 30 degrees above the northern horizon (from memory).

All subs at 300 sec, -15C.
L: 22
R: 20
G: 19
B: 18

About 6.5hrs total. To pick up more of the fainter data in the extremities I was thinking I would need about 3 times that amount at least.

I tried to use the PhotometricColorCalibration on this, but no matter what I tried I could not get it to work (plate solve problems), so you get the manual "she'll-be-right" colour stretch version here. :)

Feedback, etc as usual, welcome.

Very nice details. Little blueish to me but then again I'm a greenish kind of guy so who am I to say.

Thanks Marc - it's a fair enough statement. I did see a wild range of colour in images on the net, so my manual adjustment was likely to be wrong in some manner. :)

Nice one Chris. I wouldn't even try imaging that one from here, doesn't get high enough in the sky for me to make an attempt, but it came out better than I'd have thought.

Thanks Martin.

Thanks Lee. If I remember correctly, you're not that far south of where I am - maybe 40 or so kms (as the crow flies and ignoring east/west), so it might work for you. :) However, I agree that it did come out a lot better than I would have thought too.
