I have added to the 12.5 hours of Ha data that I had on the Horsehead to take it to 18 hours in total. I was intending to get more data then this but the weather has other plans and I have another NB target that I want to work on over the next new moon if the weather is clear.
Processed with PI but I need to get some more practice with processing just Ha.

Hi Brian,
the detail in your picture is incredible.
It looks like going deep was worth the effort.
cheers

Nice one Brian. Love the FOV and contrast. 18hrs is a solid effort!

Thanks Allan, Chris, Lee and Marc. I might yet have an opportunity to add some more data to this as it looks like we might have 3 or 4 clear nights later this week and my next target isn't quite out of the light pollution until a bit later in the night at the moment.

A lot of fine detail showing up there, very smooth result but that’s where a lot of exposure comes in.

Out of curiosity I ran both the integrated masters for 12.5 hrs and 18 hrs through the Subframe Selector process in PI when I was processing the image and the SNR Weight almost doubles with the extra 5.5 hrs and really moves the signal above the noise floor. I am curious to see what impact adding some more data later in the week does to the weights.

I had an opportunity to add another 6 hours of data the other night in what was the best seeing I can remember imaging in from here - normally subs are around the 2.5" FWHM but I was able to get the majority of the extra 6 hours at between 1.7 and 1.9" FWHM.
The attached image is 24 hours total integration over multiple nights in the last 3 weeks. Taken with an Esprit 120 on an EQ8 using the Atik One 6.0 with Baader Ultra narrowband Ha (3.5nm) filter.
I have taken the processing a bit further this time in PI then the previous version.
