Very long time since posting. Continuing the wide field theme.

First light, for my modded FujiFilm X-T1 with STC Astro-Multispectra Clip Filter.

Taken under a bright outer suburban sky. M42 was up and visible.

20 lights x 420 secs, ISO400. FS60C with flattener. The usual complement of bias darks and flats

Processed in Siril. A few touches in StarTools and tweak in ImageMagick.

Two versions - the second detail enhancement with the StarTools SII Entropy filter - which I like.

Didn't push it too much - need to get the stars under control.

More data needed. But that will have to wait for a rare clear night.

Thanks Marc.

Perhaps this belongs in the beginners section - this is closer to the intent.

A pathway of possibilities... another 2 hours of data but still needs more.

Nice one Rowland

Did you mod the X-T1 yourself? They're a great camera :)

Thanks Dunk.

Still working out the best settings. It's light and the wireless is great for doing focus runs on a tablet. It's just a matter of learning a new camera all over again.

The mod wasn't overly difficult. The soldering bits were tricky. I removed the plastic grip all over to help with cooling.

Filter choices are a bit limiting. It was toss up between the dual band or the multi spectral clip-in's from Cyclops. Not sure I've made the right choice...

Looks very promising Rowland, a bit more fiddling and playing around and maybe get it under darker skies and you will have a formidable imaging rig there I think..?

Thanks Mike. A bit more work yet. It will be interesting to compare the same shot under a dark sky.
