Battling high cloud and Newton Rings!!!
One nice prom...and a couple of pretty faint dynamic proms.
The CaK shows the AR and a couple of faint filaments.
Onwards and Upwards!

Thanks, Martin!
I was forced to use the ASI 174, the ASI 1600 is out of commission.....
I’m beginning to think the single lock screw on the Coronado blocking diagonal may be aggravating the situation with Newton Rings.
The CaK in moments of good seeing, far and few between, certainly seems to be capable of producing some very good images.

Sharp image in CaK Ken,
Did the tilter work?

Bo,
Of all the solar cameras I’ve used the ASI 174MM is the worse for generating Newton Rings. Unfortunately this is well known.
The NR are always worst at Ha, I don’t have a major issue at CaK.
The tilter certainly works, but, it’s never 100%.
That’s why I went for an ASI 1600MM, it doesn’t seem to suffer half as much.
I’ll be OK when I can get it back in action...hopefully soon.

Ken ,have you tried using a flat frame in firecapture? along with your tilt adaptor?.

Martin,
When I tried flats previously they didn't seem to work for me on solar disk imaging.
Maybe I need to revisit.

The larger prom with some colour.....
