Hi. I've been given an old Tasco 302012 900mm Reflector but I'm not sure about some of the equatorial mount usage. In the attached picture there is some sort of cam that rotates but I don't know what it's for. Also, the bolt for the altitude adjustment is long on this side but for what purpose? Also, there does not seem to be any fine adjustment for altitude. It's missing a slow-motion cable - can you get these anywhere?
Thanks!

Not exactly your model but, this Tasco manual seems pretty close & may assist to some degree.... or not, it's not particularly detailed... but, it may answer some of your questions as to what the parts are...

Thanks for that but it doesn't really cover the areas I'm interested in.

Hi Ian,
The bits circled in your image are for mounting a motor drive, hope this video clip helps. Slow motion cables are fairly standard size (although the eq2 might have a smaller shaft than it's bigger brothers) so a google search should help you find one, or post a wanted add in the IIS classifieds.
