I finally got my thin adapter that I had left onsiteand it was critical to getting the correct spacing to the flattener for my large sensor Proline 16803.
Last night I got it all setup.
Initial focus images looked great. I took a 10 minute shot - oh no,
Way out of focus at the bottom part of the image. Lovely up top though.
An hour or more mucking around with packers and not gettting anywhere and i thought I better check all the attachment grub screws were snug. Not even
close!
Bang - perfect stars to the corners on a 16803 sensor. Not many scopes can do that.
I did a couple of images but high cloud rolled in but I could see that this scope is sharp as.
A first light coming soon finally.

Looking forward to seeing first light Greg. Very interested in seeing how it goes with the 16803.

Nice one Greg!
How did I go for visual? With a good wide field eyepiece F6 should give you some very nice view of the night sky.

Its very good visually but ideally need a short
focal length lens. Got some nice views of Jupiter and Saturn as well as the usual nice objects like the Jewel Box.

Thanks JA. It was nice to see a test image of the LMC and see the sparkling spread of stars which I haven't seen for a while.

Greg.
